Hand of Jericho: So you just recently release a deluxe edition of Can’t Stop Won’t Stop. How did the idea of releasing one come about?
Jared Monaco: We wanted to put something that could be for the kids that have been with us since the beginning and all of our new fans. There is a thirty minute documentary on it that goes on from day one and till now. It shows everything we’ve done along the way. I think it’s just a good tool to hold everyone over until we have more material coming out. Which we don’t know how long until then. There’s a couple new tracks, a cover song, and all the music videos. It’s packed with a lot of new stuff.

HJ: Are there any plans to record a new record in the near future? Is there anything you want that you couldn’t do on the last record?
JM: I mean every time you go back in and record there’s a lot of ideas that you realize after you’re done with the record you wish you would’ve done. We’ve got endless lists of things we’d love to do on this new record. For example, there are parts on the last record that I feel like they didn’t sound as big as the could of. You know we want to write those bangers. We want to get out more, I don’t know how to word it, more singles. We want to have this record packed full of bangers.

HJ: We have all heard that Warped Tour is like summer camp. Did you attend summer camp when younger?
JM: I did. I went to the church camp which was crazy. A lot different. It’s really cool. There’s a lot of people here. Catering is amazing! Every things great. It’s kind of cool because you start to see the same faces over and over again. We’ve met a lot of cool people. So far, so good.

HJ: Favourite meal on the Warped Tour?
JM: Anytime they do chicken. I am all about chicken and stake. I’m not vegetarian, so I kind of lose Warped Tour points right there, but I love to eat chicken. Anything to do with that is always good.

HJ: Is there a movie or book that has impacted your life?
JM: Yea I’m actually reading The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius right now. It just a lot of like think positive messages from this dude that in a time where he was in charge of a little of everything. He learned a lot of things from the resources that he had around him. When I am having a bad day I’ll open it up to any page and I can read a memorable quote that is just uplifting and good messages.

HJ: Tell us a crazy tour story.
JM: This was on the last tour. We were watching a movie. We watched Mr.Brookes on the bus. John O, our singer, is afraid of blood. Not afraid of it, he’s just queazy. We were outside talking about the movie after it ended. There is this part where this guy gets his head pretty much chopped off. We were talking about it, and I turn around and see him just fall. Face plant into the ground. Just out cold. We were like “Oh my God, what do we do?” We’re freaking out trying to call 911. Everyone is screaming. Kennedy and I we were like fighting over who was going to call first. We both thought the other one was doing it, so we both stopped. It was just panic mode. Finally, John O came too, and we had this first aid kit. I bandaged his face up. It was bleeding all over. All from thinking about blood. We’ve had so many incidents where John O falls down that we have a shirt that we’re selling this year that says “I partied my teeth out with John O.”

HJ: Where in the world is Carmon Sandiego?
JM: You know what I use to play that computer game. Carmon Sandiego is in Canada.
HJ: Where in Canada?
JM: Montreal. I met Carmon Sandiego there.
